Xavi: Guardiola & Mourinho Are Obsessed With Football

The midfielder says Pep is the best coach he has ever had.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez has told AS that Pep Guardiola is the best coach he has ever had and also remembers "excellent" memories of Jose Mourinho's time at Camp Nou.

""I was there for almost three years with him [Mourinho] when he was an assistant for Van Gaal. I learned a lot from him," said Xavi.

Having worked with both the creative midfielder drew comparisons between the two "obsessed" coaches.

"Like Guardiola he appears obsessed with work. The two of them are football sick. Mourinho is probably more attentive to the defense while Pep is more romantic, he wants to play well to win."

"Pep is the best coach I have ever had."

Xavi also says that the game against Inter will be a kick-start to the season for Barca.

"These games serve to make you jump right into the season. It is a great challenge in a hard group with four national champions. We must fight, and that is something we like," he said.
