The search for the right wrong

We are all seeking that special person who is right for us. But if you have been through enough relationship, you begin to suspect there's no right person, just different flavours of wrong. Why is this? Because you yourself are wrong in some ways, and you are seeking out partners who are wrong in some complimentary way. But it takes a lot of living to grow fully into your own wrongness. It isn't until you finally run up against your deepest demon, your unsolvable problems - the ones that make you who you truly are - that you are ready to find a lifelong mate. Only then do you finally know what you are looking for. You are looking for the wrong person But not just any wrong person; the "right" wrong person - someone you lovingly gaze upon and think, "This is the problem i want to have." I will find that special person who is wrong for me in just the right way.

"Dreams"

Dreams, as we’re using the term here, are defined as ambitions or aspirations. They are a part of everyone’s life. Some people have vivid and absolute pictures of what they want their lives to be. Others tend to see little of their future and just let life happen to them. Still others believe, sadly, that their dreams are impossible and meaningless. Dreams are, of course, a product of your mind. You alone can decide how badly you want a dream. But you have to know what you want before the universe can begin to help you see it as yours and produce it for you. That knowing is a decision on your part. No ambivalent feelings allowed here. When you know what your dream is, you can begin to form a picture. By seeing this picture often, with as much detail as possible, and by adding the emotions you believe you would feel working for and receiving your dream, you can make it happen. Of course, there is another necessary element, that of action. If you truly want this dream to appear for you, you will follow through with the appropriate action. That action proves to the universe that this is what you desire. If your actions are only half-hearted, your dream was only half-hearted. There is a last major ingredient to add to this picture. Gratitude! Picture the accomplishment of your dream as a gift and add the feeling of gratitude. Gratitude for something you haven’t even seen yet can make it much more real. Think on these things and realize that your positive thoughts are what bring wonderful things, material and otherwise, to your life. The life you probably want to create, one of beauty and fulfillment, depends on what your dreams hold. This is all not to say that you should live in the future. It is, rather, a suggestion that your dreams mean something. They are your mind’s way of telling you there is something good for you out there. To ignore them is to ignore an important part of yourself. Make your dreams work for you. This is your life, and nobody can make it something you don’t want, except you. You are in control. Theory The soul contains the event that shall befall it, for the event is only the actualization of its thoughts, and what we pray to ourselves for is always granted.

D'banj (Igwe d Koko)

D'banj was born to an artillery officer father and a church dignitary mother, who hailed from Shagamu in Ogun State. Due to his father's profession, he moved several times within Nigeria and also moved to India. D'banj was expected to follow his father's military career and was enrolled to the Nigerian Military School, Zaria at age eleven. Musical beginning D'banj grew up listening to Fela Kuti, who he cites as his "great mentor". He was introduced to the harmonica by his late older brother, Femi Oyebanjo, who died in a plane crash at age seventeen. With D'banj's love of music being greater than his parents' military aspirations, he struggled with his parents' approval, this can be best heard through an album track, All Da Way from his debut album. He derived his stage name from the combination of the first name and his surname. As a tribute to his mentor, Fela, D'banj brings Afrobeat to life and into the 21st century with breathless enthusiasm as well as a good dose of humor. His songs are based on his life, often hilarious but with a deeper meaning which documents the struggle of a young African trying to achieve his dreams. He performs in Yoruba, English and Pidgin English. All his albums are solely produced by Don Jazzy and himself. 2005, 2006: No Long Thing D'banj's debut album, No Long Thing, was released in 2005, yielding several singles, with Tongolo as the lead single. This proved to be his breakthrough single and a hit. It also provided his Koko Master persona, with the term, koko, taking on a variety of meanings. D'banj's debut success led to collaborations with other artists, this includes Dare Art-Alade's album track, Escalade Part 2 and Ikechukwu's album track,Doo.

Shawn "Jay Z" carter

Jay Z, Jay, H.O.V.A., Hov, The carter, S. Carter, The Roc, and the list goes on; all point to the man, nay, the movement and icon that Shawn Carter has become. Better known as Jay Z, the rapper, businessman and global icon charted a life out of nothing and has risen to a pedestal as one of the most recognizable faces of modern rap music. MTV named him the ‘Greatest MC of all time’, Rolling Stone, one of the hardest to please critiques of all time, named ‘Reasonable Doubt’, his debut album, #248 on their top 500 albums of all time; he has won numerous Grammy awards alongside major successes in the business world.



Born Shawn Corey Carter on the 4th December 1969, in the Marcy Houses Housing project, in Brooklyn, New York City,Jay Z never graduated from the George Westinghouse High School for Information Technology, which coincidentally was also attended by fellow rappers Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes, his drug runs were the reason.



His first official single was ‘I Can’t Get With That’, released independently, because he didn’t have any record deal. This prompted him to form an outfit, Roc-A-Fella records with Dame Dash and Kareem Biggs, after agreeing to a distribution deal with Priority. He followed it up with the release of his debut album ‘Reasonable Doubt’ in 1996, with production credits going to DJ Premier and Super DJ Clark Kent. The album peaked at #23 on the Billboard 200.



He has since gone on to release ‘In My Lifetime, Vol 1’ (1997), ‘Vol 2, Hard Knock Life’ (1998), ‘Vol 3, Life

Ray Wilkins: Joe Cole & Zhirkov will start for Chelsea against QPR

Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins has confirmed that both Joe Cole and Yuri Zhirkov will be in the starting line-up when the Blues welcome Queens Park Rangers to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in the third round of the League Cup.

"We haven't finalised the side yet but Joe Cole and Zhirkov will start, so that's good news for all concerned. They will be very important players as the season progresses so it's nice that they will come back in," Wilkins told reporters at a press conference today.

"When you can't use a player of Joe's ability, any side in the country would miss him, because he has that bit of fantasy that can open up defences. We have missed him but we have a squad that can compensate for such a loss."

As for Zhirkov, the Russian international who has been injured since signing from CSKA Moscow in the summer, Wilkins felt that Chelsea fans would soon be seeing a player of versatility and quality in action. He said: "[Zhirkov's] a very fluid footballer, left-sided, which is always very pleasant, a great mover and a great footballer.

"He has been out now for quite a period so it will be lovely to see him back out demonstrating what he can do, because if he demonstrates half of what he has shown in training we have a very pleasant player on our books."

Another player now fit enough to feature again is Paulo Ferreira, and Wilkins revealed that manager Carlo Ancelotti is considering using a clutch of young players against QPR as well as the men returning from injury.

"Paulo will come back into the squad; whether Carlo decides to use him initially is another matter, but it's a chance to use the squad in the League Cup. We have a large squad here, and that's what we will do tomorrow night," he explained.

"They are all players that have impressed Carlo; he has watched the majority of reserve games since he has been here. It gives us an opportunity to bring these young men in and hopefully use them later in the season.

"If we progress in the League Cup then I am sure we will see a large number of these players used. [The transfer ban] is a great opportunity, and we will appeal against the ban, but it is a great opportunity for the young players to push themselves forward so the manager can see.

Wilkins added: "There will be a few rested but we have a large squad, so it's an opportunity to put them at Stamford Bridge in front of 38,000 where it will be an important game for us."

Wednesday's visitors are a former club of the Chelsea assistant, and Wilkins concluded by affirming just how much affection he retained for the Hoops, where he both played and managed.

"It was a very enjoyable stage in my career at a great little club and I enjoyed it, it was good fun. It has changed; they do have financial backing now but they are still the same club on the footballing side, they have always tried to play football. The managers they had always wanted to play football and Jim [Magilton] is the same," he added.

"They are coming off the back of a fantastic result on Saturday (a 2-0 win away at Cardiff), so they will be coming with their spirits high and looking forward to a game at Stamford Bridge.

"It is always good to be drawn against a team in a higher league to see what you can go and do against them. I think they will bring 6,000 so they will be looking forward to it and it's up to us to make it an unhappy evening for them."

Darren Fletcher: Ryan Giggs has reinvented himself at Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher may have taken a fair chunk of the headlines from Sunday's derby clash with Manchester City after his two goals, but it is the performance of Ryan Giggs that he feels deserves the plaudits.

The Scotland international feels that his team-mate has retained his effectiveness by successfully evolving as his career has gone on.

"Ryan has re-invented himself and has been absolutely superb," Fletcher told The Manchester Evening News.

"He creates chances all the time. He is always looking for that killer pass.

"Three assists in the derby is magnificent and fortunately we were able to do those assists justice.

"He is a credit to the game. He is a real professional and an inspiration to all the young lads. He just gets better and better and long may that continue. With his kind of service we should all be putting a few away."

Fletcher's brace on Sunday is also a sign that the team is compensating for the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo by sharing the goalscoring duties around the squad, the Scotsman thinks.

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba declared fit to play against Wigan Athletic

Ivorian hitman will be rested midweek
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has been passed fit after a calf scan revealed no significant damage, confirmed the Blues' assistant manager, Ray Wilkins.

The Ivorian was carried off during Sunday's 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur after scoring an impressive third goal for his side. Despite initial concerns, the injury appears to be nothing more than a severe cramp.

"He came off with the most horrendous bout of cramp," said Wilkins.

"We thought it was a bit more serious but the scan has revealed there's nothing in there so hopefully he will be okay to take part on Saturday."

Drogba will not take part in Wednesday night's Carling Cup third round match with Queens Park Rangers, though long-term injury victims Joe Cole and Yuri Zhirkov — an £18 million summer recruit from CSKA Moscow — will be handed their first starts of the season.

Art Hakeem Expressionism is a versatile body with a perchant for excellent creativity in diverse forms to promote a world of endless possibilities. A world that explores discovers unimaginable talents, skills and potentials that reside naturally within us. Talent resides in some of us but avenues for the exploration of these skills and potentials are scarce thus bringing under-development in our lives.

The sun rises on a new dawn yet few of us realize the debt we owe to those responsible for this. To those who dwell among us, anonymous, seemingly ordinary, who destiny brought together to create, to repair, to heal and to make the world a better place.

Evolution has bestowed on man unimaginable talents, incredible skills, abilities, potential but little has counted for it. In some parts of the world, these talents, skills, abilities and potentials have been carefully harnessed and developed thus resulting in great inventions that we benefit from today. But in this part of the world, little or nothing is done to encourage and develop them

If God can give us these potentials, what is the essence? What is the purpose for having these abilities? Or do we even know what talent is bestowed on us? How many of us have discovered the truth, the basic reality/essence of our existence?

Many are still out there, among us, in the shadows, in the light. We pass them on the street without a glance, never suspecting, never knowing. Do they even know yet that we are bound together by a common purpose, a glaring reality, to be extraordinary? And when destiny does anoint us…how do we hide from it?

How long can we dwell in the shadows before either fate or our own flawed humanity draws us out into the light again.

How would we know what awaits us when it finally does

Theodore Roosevelt once said that it is not critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly who errs and comes short again and again; who knows great enthusiasm, the great devotion; who spent himself in a worthy cause; who at the best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst; if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly so that his place shall never be with those timid souls who knows neither victory nor defeat.

UEFA Approves Financial Fair Play Concept

UEFA's Executive Committee has approved the Financial Fair Play concept.

UEFA's Executive Committee has approved the Financial Fair Play concept for the well-being of European club football. The committee gave the green light at its meeting in Nyon following recommendations made in August by the Professional Football Strategy Council (PFSC).

The major objective of the Financial Fair Play concept is to improve the financial fairness in European competitions, as well as the long-term stability of European club football. In order to achieve this goal, a set of measures will be put in place.

These include an obligation for clubs whose turnover is over a certain threshold, over a period of time, to balance their books or break even. Under the concept, clubs cannot repeatedly spend more than their generated revenues. Guidance will be given on salaries and transfer spending, indicators provided on the sustainability of the levels of debt, and clubs will be obliged to honour their commitments at all times.

"The idea is not to hurt clubs. The idea is to help them. The basic premise is that clubs should not spend more than they earn. Club owners have asked for the introduction of rules, and this will be an adventure for European football and UEFA," Michel Platini was quoted as saying by UEFA.com.

Emulate Gani on Public Declaration of Health...

The Lagos State Assembly has called on public officials  to emulate the late Chief Gani  Fawehinmi SAN by making their state of health known to the public.

The issue of Gani’s demise was raised under matter of urgent national importance by Mr Sinai Agunbiade during plenary Monday. He described Gani as a human rights fighter who contributed a lot to the development of the country.

Commenting,  Dr. Ajibayo Adeyeye deputy majority leader recounting an encounter with Gani said his incarceration at different times contributed to his being afflicted with lung cancer because he was exposed to secondary smoke from persons who smoked  around him.

Furthermore he commended Gani for making his ailment known to the public while calling on public officials to emulate this gesture in order to avoid speculations about their health.

Adeyeye called on the house to enact a bill that will ban smoking in public places in Lagos as is being done in developed parts of the world.

Contributing Mr Mudashiru Obasa compared Gani to the Ted kennedy the late American Senator in their concern for the welfare of the masses. He said Gani ‘s ailment was wrongly diagonized as malaria in  different health hospitals in Nigeria. It was only when Gani went to seek medical attention abroad that it was discovered that he was suffering from lung cancer.

The Majority  Leader, Mr Kolawole Taiwo urged the house to contribute money towards the fight against cancer which he described as a nasty killer.

Meanwhile the Speaker Mr Adeyemi Ikuforiji  described Gani's life has eventtful, meaningful and one of great service to all Nigerians.
Adeyemi said "his uncommon courage and dedication to the cause of mankind put him above all others in the struggle for a better political system and good governance in Nigeria.

According to Adeyemi, the greatest honour for him is for the government to implement his socio political ideas to solve the multifarious problems facing the nation.

FIFA Tell Chelsea: You Can't Recall Loan Players

Transfer embargo continues to plague Chelsea's plans for season...

Chelsea's hopes of recalling loan players to help compensate for the transfer sanctions imposed upon them have been dealt a knock-out blow, as FIFA claim season-long loans cannot be retracted.
The Stamford Bridge outfit were denied an entrance into the next two transfer windows by FIFA because of the manner in which they were perceived to act when they bought Lens youngster Gael Kakuta to west London two years ago.
Escalated murmurs suggested that the Blues may be tempted to recall certain players from loan so that unforeseen injuries or players participating in the African Cup of Nations can be easily replaced.
FIFA, though, have different ideas. The world's governing body for football has ruled that one-year loan deals cannot be terminated.
"If it's a season-long loan, it cannot be terminated in order to bring players back," a FIFA spokesman reportedly told the Daily Telegraph.
Chelsea are believed to be appealing both decisions, but the current sanction ensures that Scott Sinclair [Wigan Athletic] will not be allowed to return prior to the completion of the season. While Franco Di Santo [Blackburn Rovers] will be allowed a January move back to Chelsea as he only signed a half-year loan deal.
Michael Mancienne [Wolverhampton Wanderers] is a special case, as a clause is embedded into his contract whereby the Blues can activate an "emergency release clause".

Carlo Ancelotti: Chelsea Can Win Champions League

Blues ready to bring trophy back to the Bridge...

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is confident that his team possess the necessary quality to win the Champions League this season.

The current Premier League leaders launch their latest campaign in the prestigious European competition this week, at Stamford Bridge against Porto.

The Blues have done well in the competition in recent seasons, but the closest they have come to actually winning the trophy was the 2008 final defeat on penalties to Manchester United in Moscow. Ancelotti, though, is anticipating better things this season.

"Chelsea have been in the semi-finals most in the last six years," the Italian, reportedly brought to the club by owner Roman Abramovich because of his skill in building sides capable of continental success, told Sky Sports.

"They haven't won it, but they have come very close. Two years ago, they were one penalty away from winning it.

"Now the conditions are right for us to try again."

One player Ancelotti would apparently have liked to bring to Stamford Bridge in order to boost their Champions League challenge is Andrea Pirlo from AC Milan, but the coach now accepts that things need to move on as he has other players already at the club who can play in the same position as the Italian midfielder.

He added: "We have players to fulfil that role. We've tried John Obi Mikel, Michael Essien and Deco. Pirlo can't play like Mikel, and Mikel can't play like Pirlo."

Chelsea Coach Ancelotti Clears Up Yuri Zhirkov Injury Doubts

The Russian's fitness is improving...

Chelsea's main piece of summer business, Yuri Zhirkov, is yet to represent the club and repay the £18 million invested in him due to a problematic knee injury.

The immediate future of the left winger, bought from CSKA Moscow where he was dubbed the 'Russian Ronaldinho', was unclear as it was deemed he may require an operation to permanently rid him of the issue, but Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has allayed those fears.

The Italian is quoted by Sport to have said: "At the moment, we don't think he needs surgery. He's working with the team, yesterday he worked with us.

"We have to control the situation. For the moment, he's not very well but he is improving.

"Next week we have to control his body. If he has improved, he can start to play matches again.

"He didn't play with the national team because he's not fit now, but he is improving. At the moment, he doesn't need surgery."
 

Stoke City 1-2 Chelsea: Potters Feeling Blue After Late Malouda Winner

Chelsea return to west London with maximum points...

Chelsea went into the game with Stoke City hoping to equal their best ever top-flight run with a tenth consecutive Premier League victory, whilst the home side were looking for a fourth on the trot to continue their 100% record at the Britannia Stadium.

After taking the lead early and suffering two first half injuries, the memories of their 2-1 turnaround at the hands of the Blues last time out flooded back to haunt Stoke: Chelsea pulled level during the lengthy first-half stoppage time period and, after a second half of sustained Chelsea pressure, Florent Malouda hit the winner with seconds to go.

After all the controversy of the last week following their transfer ban, Chelsea looked relieved to be playing football again, starting brightly with Didier Drogba seeing a shot saved within five minutes.

Stoke however were far from in awe of their West London visitors, making Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech work from the outset, with James Beattie going close before being forced off after twelve minutes through injury, with Ricardo Fuller deputising.

Stoke seemed comfortable holding their own and thirty minutes in went one better as a Glenn Whelan cross found Abdoulaye Faye, whose powerful header inside the penalty area evaded Cech.

Chelsea's responded with pressure on Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen's goal before he gave Stoke manager Tony Pulis more cause for concern going the same way as Beattie, coming off injured in the 40th minute.

Just when it looked like Chelsea were struggling to penetrate a Stoke defence with six clean sheets in its last eight games, a real moment of quality from Frank Lampard and Drogba two minutes into the eight minutes of first-half injury time provided the difference. Lampard played an exquisite reverse pass through the Stoke defence leaving Drogba to roll Faye and smash the ball into the roof of the net for his fourth of the season, leaving replacement Stoke goalkeeper Steve Simonsen with no chance.

The Stoke backline was put under relentless pressure after the break, with excellent passing and moving from Chelsea, and this was only exacerbated by the introduction of Michael Essien and Nicolas Anelka, the latter providing more of a threat than an underwhelming Salomon Kalou. Stoke's recent signing from Middlesbrough, Tuncay, came off the bench to give the Potters a creative outlet in the face of such pressure, but short of an aborted counter-attack or two all of the action was in the Stoke half.

Having scored their opener, Abdoulaye Faye was a rock in the Stoke defence, but they could only hold on to the point by the skin of their teeth for so long and were given a bitter taste of deja vu as the Blues pressed at the death. Pulis could have been forgiven for thinking a point had been won with all but one minute of injury time gone, but agonizingly for Stoke, following an extended period of pressure and frantic defending, they were finally overwhelmed by a Malouda drive with seconds to go.

Nemanja Vidic Names Top Three Strikers

Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are the best strikers in the world...

Nemanja Vidic has named the three strikers that he believes are currently the best in the world and has chosen one from England, Spain and Italy.

The Serbian defender does not relish playing against Liverpool's Fernando Torres in the league and would see the task of marking Samuel Eto'o or Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a tough one.

Torres has a good record against United since he moved to Anfield and stood out last term as the Reds came close to pipping their arch rivals to the title.

Eto'o and Ibrahimovic created the story of the summer as they were swapped for each other by Barcelona and Inter and debate has raged about who has the better deal.

While others discuss that issue, Vidic cannot decide between the pair and thinks that they are both world class.

“It’s tough to pick out one name when it comes to Europe’s best strikers but if I could pick three I’d select Samuel Eto’o, Fernando Torres and Zlatan Ibrahimovic," he told redrants.com.

“These guys are at the top of their game.”

Chelsea Dismiss Roman Abramovich Health Concerns

Russian tycoon allegedly collapsed during attempted mountain climb...

Chelsea have dismissed reports that billionaire owner Roman Abramovich collapsed in an attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro last week.

It was claimed that Abramovich experienced altitude sickness and developed respiratory problems during a failed attempt to ascend the Tanzanian mountain.

However, Chelsea insist that the Russian did not require medical attention and also deny that former coach Guus Hiddink was in the expedition.

"Roman Abramovich did not collapse, develop respiratory problems, altitude sickness or require medical attention during his recent trip to Mount Kilimanjaro," a club spokesman said, according to ITV.

"The expedition was properly prepared and those in the group who wanted to reach the summit did so without incident.

"Furthermore, despite claims to the contrary, Guus Hiddink was not a member of the expedition, as he was in Britain leading the Russian national football team to victory over Wales."

Chelsea were forced to respond after reports claimed that Abramovich ran into problems when the 42-year-old and a group of six friends set out to conquer Africa's highest peak.

A Gunners fan representative wants the striker punished.

The secretary of Arsenal's north-west supporters' club, Terry Milner, has called on the FA to hand a hefty punishment down to the Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor for his actions in Saturday's win over the Gunners.

The Togo international looks to have landed himself in hot water for an alleged stamp on Robin van Persie and for his extravagant goal celebration, incidents which the FA have confirmed they will now investigate.

Milner, however, is in no doubt that the striker deserves to be punished and is clearly expecting a hefty penalty.

"I hope they don't put the two incidents together and effectively let him off with one," he told the Manchester Evening News.

"What he did to Van Persie was assault and that alone probably deserves a five-match ban. Then there's the fans incident. I think Gary Neville was charged for something similar against Liverpool a few years back so there's that too."

Milner also insisted he believed the striker’s goal celebrations were pre-meditated and insisted there was no excuse for his behaviour.

"My feelings towards this is that it proves how little class he has about him. It was pre-planned, there was no way that was off the cuff," he added.

"I understand that some fans have booed and jeered him and I saw things being thrown on the pitch, plastic chairs and stuff, which was wrong. But what the hell was he doing?

"He is earning, reportedly, £180,000 a week and he should be able to rise above booing and name calling.

"If you gave me £180,000 a week you could call me anything you wanted.

Having worked with both the creative midfielder drew comparisons between the two "obsessed" coaches.

"Like Guardiola he appears obsessed with work. The two of them are football sick. Mourinho is probably more attentive to the defense while Pep is more romantic, he wants to play well to win."

Xavi also says that the game against Inter will be a kick-start to the season for Barca.
